What kind of document is a self-introduction?

A self-introduction is a document that states the reasons why a resume cannot contain it. If your resume says "3 years in marketing team," your self-introduction letter explains what you were responsible for during those three years and what results you achieved and why you want to move to this company. When the roles of two documents overlap, both become blurred.

This form is divided into four questions: motivation for applying, job capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, and plans after joining the company. If there is a separate question set by the company, you can change the title box to that question. It doesn't matter if you change the order of the questions.

The most common failure in a personal statement is leaving only adjectives. “I am sincere” can be used by anyone and there is no way to verify it. Even just one line about when and what you did to change which number can change the weight of the sentence. together resumeand career descriptionPlease make sure that it does not differ from the period and company name written in.

Formatting

The text is one A4 page. There are four questions in a box below one line of personal information, and at the end, the date of writing and signature are entered. If you download it in Word, a page of writing instructions will be attached at the end.

Things you can easily miss when writing

  1. 01Put a conclusion in the first sentence of each question. The point is conveyed even if the reader does not have to read to the end.
  2. 02Write down your experience in the following order: situation, thing you did, and result. If the result contains at least one number, the statement is verifiable.
  3. 03Please do not copy text from the company website as your motivation for applying. You will be motivated only if you connect it to the part of the company's work that you will be responsible for.
  4. 04Write down the real points that need to be improved, but also write down how you are correcting them. If you write that it is not there, it will be read as insincere.
  5. 05When you're finished, read it out loud. Most breathless sentences are sentences that need to be split into two sentences.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many characters should I write for each question?

If there is a character limit set by the company, follow it. If it is free-form, around 400 to 600 characters per question is appropriate. This format is based on one A4 page, so if the four questions combined exceed about 1,800 characters, it will overflow in the preview. In that case, shorten the sentences, not the questions.

The questions set by the company are different. Can I use this form?

It works. If you change the question title box to the question provided by the company, it will remain in the company's form. If there are fewer questions, leave the remaining fields blank and they will not appear in the preview.

Should I also write about my upbringing and family relationships?

Don't include it unless asked. Recently, there has been a shift towards not asking for personal information unrelated to the job, and it is much more useful to the reader to write down job experience in that place.

Is it disadvantageous if it appears that it was written using AI?

The problem is that the content is empty rather than the sentence itself. If only sentences that are applicable anywhere are listed, it is difficult to get a good evaluation no matter who wrote it. Even if you only include events and numbers that only you can write about in each question, the impression will change.

Is what I write saved on the server?

It is not saved. The information you enter is processed only within the browser, and PDF and Word files are also created on the user's device. While writing, you can use the temporary save button to keep it only in your browser.

This is general information for guidance purposes, and recruitment procedures and required questions may vary from company to company.
