Use the picker to move the editor into shadow roots. In the shadow modes the whole minimap UI goes into one root, and the editing root into a second one nested inside it. The scrollable .editor-container sits between the two, so resolving the minimap's scrollable ancestor has to cross a shadow host – which is what this test is for.

In every mode the minimap must appear, its preview must match the content, and its position tracker must follow the editor as you scroll – dragging the tracker must scroll the editor too. Loading the short, medium and long data must resize the preview accordingly, and switching the preview style must keep all of that working.

The editor stylesheet is forwarded into both roots and disabled in the main document, so anything that ends up outside them renders unstyled and is easy to spot – the toolbar and the minimap frame included. Closed roots cannot be resolved through host.shadowRoot, so reach them from the console through the editor: editorInstance.editing.view.getDomRoot().getRootNode() is the inner one, and its host.getRootNode() the outer one above it.
